The Federation of Chinese Associations of Manchester (FCAM) was established in 1992. We are non-profit making body consisting of various Chinese Associations in or around Manchester. Since our formation, we have been promoting friendship and integration between Chinese and local communities with the support of the Consul General of The People's Repulic of China and the local councils.
We encourage and facilitate the exchange of ideas, care and benevolence between all communities and promote the understanding and appreciation of Chinese education and culture to the younger generation. We can also provide links to Chinese businesses both in Manchester and China.
Our aim is:
To promote friendship and integration between Chinese and local communities;
To encourage and facilitate the exchange of ideas, care and benevolence between all communities;
To promote the understanding and appreciation of Chinese Education and Culture to the younger;
To act as an important link between China and UK as well as companies and organisations in and outside the Chinese communities.
To achieve these aims, in the past 20 years, FCAM has been organising a variety of activities such as the celebrations of major Chinese festivals, receiving high ranking officers from the central government of China and organising participatory art projects with mainstream schools and colleges.
